She gained popularity playing the docile and devout nun in a popular tele-serial, and ironically, it was a similar role that shot her to fame. Miya George, who breathed life to sister Sophy in Vishudhan, is upbeat these days. Besides earning rave reviews for Vishudhan, she has been cast opposite Mohanlal in B Unnikrishnan’s much-touted Mr Fraud.
Mr Fraud will start rolling from February 6. Mohanlal will join the sets of the film by February 10. Mohanlal had earlier said that Mr Fraud is the first heist movie ever in Malayalam. It is a thriller flick wherein Mohanlal plays the role of a maverick who has his way. Bollywood actor Dev Gill will make his Malayalam debut through Mr Fraud by playing the anti-hero.
I am looking forward to this project as I get to work along Mohanlal. Though I had earlier acted in Red Wine, we never shared much screen space,” says Mia who has pinned her hopes on the project. Like many others before her, Mia is also eyeing Kollywood. “Amarakavyam is directed by Jeevasankar. I play Karthika and am paired opposite Satya. I hope the movie does well,” says Miya.
The beautiful actor is also gearing up for her Tamil debut through Amarakavyam, starring Satya, brother of actor Arya. So, has finally Mia arrived? “I haven’t thought of it that way. Of course, my career has got a boost post Vishudhan where I played a strong and steady character. I have a few more releases in hand and of course, things are rosy at the moment,” says Miya
